28 week update

not much new information to share...haven't had a doctors appointment for a while, so i don't have the official weight gain...i might not want to share that anymore anyway =)
*it is a little weird...i feel so huge, but when i take these pictures to show everyone, i don't seem to look as big as i feel, hmmm....
*the sweet girl has been getting hiccups ALOT! at least i think they are hiccups...it is kind of a weird feeling when she gets them.
*so, we are up to 6 names now...i know that by this point we should be narrowing it down instead of adding more...poor eric. he probably would have one definitely, but i always hear new names and most the time i like them...i just want to be sure! at this point once we pick a name, even i will be surprised.
i can't believe that in 11 1/2ish weeks we will have our sweet little girl!!!

10 reasons one might find us sleeping in our car

reason #1- my creative gamer husband is working on a new game

reason #2- my stick-to-it husband has been waiting forever for everything he needs to make his own playing cards and everything has finally arrived

reason#3- because 2AM seems like the perfect time to print out a new card game on brand-spankin' new plain cards

reason#4- because card sealer spray says to spray in an open area and the computer room with a door to the outside seems like an open enough area

reason#5- our house, or rather one bedroom trailer, is quite compact and the toxic sealer fumes can reach every part

reason#6- because my sweet husband, who feels terrible by the way, insists that staying in the trailer with all these toxic fumes is definitely not ideal for baby or myself

reason#7- because, although we can both hold our breath for a little while, the idea of trying to hold our breath all evening or keep sticking our head out the bedroom door just isn't too appealing

reason#8- because at 2AM, who has the alertness or the energy to try and call someone or just drive to a family members house nearby

reason#9- its a nice evening anyway, and what's the harm in sleeping in the car

reason#10- because we didn't have a date night this week anyway and this seemed as good of time as any to get away from our house for the night, even if it was just in the driveway

photoshoot

being the youngest child i can attest to the fact that the youngest child definitely has the least amount of pictures taken of them...at least baby pictures. (maybe that is why i like to take pictures so much now...hmmm) my mom, would say that i have the most video taken of me though...
anyway, adrian wants to be sure that she has the same month-by-month pictures of maya as she did with the boys. and, since she doesn't have a photographer doing them, she asked me!!
yesterday, we had a short photoshoot to capture her sweet face in photos.
i, of course, had to at least get a couple with the boys as well.

26 week update

another update on my pregnancy so far... i knew you were all waiting impatiently... wanted to post it before i had any more complaints.

*so week 26 is here and i have officially gained another two pounds bringing the total to 9 pounds since i first found out i was pregnant!

*still having heartburn and still hoping that means this little girl will have lots of hair. and if she doesn't, well, i will love her sweet self anyway.

*as i said before, i have started calling her a specific name. well kind of. the name just sort of pops into my head when i think of her, but then i start thinking of the other three names and i change my mind.

*the doc said my amniotic fluid might be a little low, but he wasn't concerned or worried about it. so i guess that means i shouldn't be.

can't think of anything more that i need to update. things on the belly front are still pretty quiet. but always gets exciting when i get another cute outfit for her. she will probably have more clothes than me pretty soon. o well, i love it!!!

its definite

we had another ultrasound yesterday and... it is still a girl.
I was a little paranoid that now that we have told everyone we are having a girl and have even gotten a few girly things that maybe it would actually be a boy and we just 'missed something' on the last ultrasound.

thankfully it is still a girl and she is perfect. i have some pictures, but for the life of me cant figure out how to get them from their scanned file to here. so just imagine a cute little profile of our sweet baby girl and you will just about get the picture.
the ultrasound tech said that she is about 1 lb 11 oz. I can't believe it!
I am going in for my doctors appointment tomorrow to see how much i weigh in at. should be interesting.

after the ultrasound i had to take some tests, which involved drinking this really sweet 'sprite', waiting for an hour, having about a gallon of blood drawn (okay it wasn't that bad), and signing my life away.

i told eric last night that i have started putting one of our names with her, but i don't know. it is still hard to decide...i like all four of our options. and erics top pick is different than mine. i guess we will just have to wait until november to truly name her. we will see if eric feels bad enough for me after going through labor to let me pick which name to use. here's to wishful thinking!

are you trying to teach me something...

O God you are my God,
earnestly I seek You;
my soul thirsts for You,
my body longs for You,
in a dry and weary land
where there is no water.

I have seen You in the sanctuary and
beheld your power and Your glory.
Because Your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify You.

I will praise You as long as I live,
and in Your name I will lift up my hands.
My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise You.

On my bed I remember You;
I think of You through the watches of the night.
Because You are my help,
I sing in the shadow of Your wings.

My soul clings to You;
Your right hand upholds me.
Psalm 63

The Lord is trying to teach me something...I am absolutely sure of it.
This morning in my quiet time I was directed by my devotional book to read Psalm 63. "Wow...do I truly thirst and earnestly seek after the Lord?"
after some deliberation and a few minutes of meditation over these verses I was back on course for my day, shoving to the back of my mind my 'thirst for the Lord'.

finish getting ready
head to work
check the mail
blah. blah. blah

only to be stopped short when i found this exact chapter written on someone else's blog.
"okay, Lord, are you wanting me to learn something from these verses? are you trying to convict me."
thanks to the Holy Spirit working in my life I see and pray that the Lord will continue to "search me and know my heart!"
Obviously i need to be thirsting after the things of the Lord.
and with God's help may I do just that.

colorado blowout

don't worry about the title, although there was one blowout on the trip, i am merely referring to the amount of pictures that you are about to see. considering how many i took i narrowed them down considerably...aren't i considerate.

(i wonder how many times it is considered appropriate to use various forms of the word considerate in one sentence)
too many words and descriptions...well that would take me years to make this blog post. so i hope you don't mind just pictures. if you do, well i am terribly sorry, and you had better stop right now. but, after seeing those adorable faces how can you stop?!
