photoshoot

being the youngest child i can attest to the fact that the youngest child definitely has the least amount of pictures taken of them...at least baby pictures. (maybe that is why i like to take pictures so much now...hmmm) my mom, would say that i have the most video taken of me though...
anyway, adrian wants to be sure that she has the same month-by-month pictures of maya as she did with the boys. and, since she doesn't have a photographer doing them, she asked me!!
yesterday, we had a short photoshoot to capture her sweet face in photos.
i, of course, had to at least get a couple with the boys as well.

26 week update

another update on my pregnancy so far... i knew you were all waiting impatiently... wanted to post it before i had any more complaints.

*so week 26 is here and i have officially gained another two pounds bringing the total to 9 pounds since i first found out i was pregnant!

*still having heartburn and still hoping that means this little girl will have lots of hair. and if she doesn't, well, i will love her sweet self anyway.

*as i said before, i have started calling her a specific name. well kind of. the name just sort of pops into my head when i think of her, but then i start thinking of the other three names and i change my mind.

*the doc said my amniotic fluid might be a little low, but he wasn't concerned or worried about it. so i guess that means i shouldn't be.

can't think of anything more that i need to update. things on the belly front are still pretty quiet. but always gets exciting when i get another cute outfit for her. she will probably have more clothes than me pretty soon. o well, i love it!!!

its definite

we had another ultrasound yesterday and... it is still a girl.
I was a little paranoid that now that we have told everyone we are having a girl and have even gotten a few girly things that maybe it would actually be a boy and we just 'missed something' on the last ultrasound.

thankfully it is still a girl and she is perfect. i have some pictures, but for the life of me cant figure out how to get them from their scanned file to here. so just imagine a cute little profile of our sweet baby girl and you will just about get the picture.
the ultrasound tech said that she is about 1 lb 11 oz. I can't believe it!
I am going in for my doctors appointment tomorrow to see how much i weigh in at. should be interesting.

after the ultrasound i had to take some tests, which involved drinking this really sweet 'sprite', waiting for an hour, having about a gallon of blood drawn (okay it wasn't that bad), and signing my life away.

i told eric last night that i have started putting one of our names with her, but i don't know. it is still hard to decide...i like all four of our options. and erics top pick is different than mine. i guess we will just have to wait until november to truly name her. we will see if eric feels bad enough for me after going through labor to let me pick which name to use. here's to wishful thinking!

are you trying to teach me something...

O God you are my God,
earnestly I seek You;
my soul thirsts for You,
my body longs for You,
in a dry and weary land
where there is no water.

I have seen You in the sanctuary and
beheld your power and Your glory.
Because Your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify You.

I will praise You as long as I live,
and in Your name I will lift up my hands.
My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods;
with singing lips my mouth will praise You.

On my bed I remember You;
I think of You through the watches of the night.
Because You are my help,
I sing in the shadow of Your wings.

My soul clings to You;
Your right hand upholds me.
Psalm 63

The Lord is trying to teach me something...I am absolutely sure of it.
This morning in my quiet time I was directed by my devotional book to read Psalm 63. "Wow...do I truly thirst and earnestly seek after the Lord?"
after some deliberation and a few minutes of meditation over these verses I was back on course for my day, shoving to the back of my mind my 'thirst for the Lord'.

finish getting ready
head to work
check the mail
blah. blah. blah

only to be stopped short when i found this exact chapter written on someone else's blog.
"okay, Lord, are you wanting me to learn something from these verses? are you trying to convict me."
thanks to the Holy Spirit working in my life I see and pray that the Lord will continue to "search me and know my heart!"
Obviously i need to be thirsting after the things of the Lord.
and with God's help may I do just that.

colorado blowout

don't worry about the title, although there was one blowout on the trip, i am merely referring to the amount of pictures that you are about to see. considering how many i took i narrowed them down considerably...aren't i considerate.

(i wonder how many times it is considered appropriate to use various forms of the word considerate in one sentence)
too many words and descriptions...well that would take me years to make this blog post. so i hope you don't mind just pictures. if you do, well i am terribly sorry, and you had better stop right now. but, after seeing those adorable faces how can you stop?!
